How do I join coach?

How much is a Coach gym membership?

Monthly membership at Coach depends on which of our Coach gyms you are interested in joining. Our online joining portal will be opening shortly. Until then, please register your interest here

It seems too good to be true - A premium gym membership but with a budget gym price tag?

Coach gyms really do offer and include a premium gym experience without paying a premium for it. With industry leading facilities, a carefully planned timetable of free classes, the option to upgrade & include affordable boutique fitness, state of the art design & our amazing Coach team on hand to support you each & every day… we really are transforming the health & fitness scene, we’re redefining affordable luxury.

Can I try Coach before I signup to the Freedom or Commit contracts?

Absolutely. Just head to the Coach gym you want to train at & buy a day pass from reception when you arrive.

From time to time, we run free trial promotions. If you are lucky enough to have a free trial, simply follow the steps when you register for your pass and head down to your nearest Coach gym.

Day Memberships are available from just £5.00 per visit

What is the minimum age to join Coach?

All members and day pass members must be over the age of 18 to join Coach.

Can I delay the start of my Coach membership?

No. Your membership at Coach will start from the very moment you join.

What does the first month's payment come out of my bank?

We’ll take your first payment on the same day as you join, including the joining fee (if applicable). This payment covers your first month’s membership at Coach.

Subsequent monthly membership payments will then follow one month after joining and will continue on or just after the same date and in line with the term of your contract, up until you tell us otherwise.

What does an "off peak" membership mean?

This provides you with a full Coach membership but with access during specific hours only.

Off peak hours are listed below…

Monday – Friday:

Last scan in before 16:00

Saturday and Sunday:

Full access throughout our opening hours

Can I pay by cash or card for membership and day passes?

Day pass memberships can be easily paid for at Coach reception by VISA Credit, VISA Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro. You can also pay for a day pass by Cash.

Coach gym memberships are paid via a monthly Direct Debit.

Please note that the membership sign up section of the Coach website is secure. Your details are fully encrypted before being sent to the server. You can feel assured we have taken all the appropriate measures to safeguard the security of your personal and banking information.

Can I set up my direct debit with a non-UK bank account?

We’d recommend that you contact your provider to double check that they accept direct debits. Please note, that direct debit is the only way to pay for a monthly membership at Coach.

Pre-Opening

What's the benefit of joining before the club opens?

Becoming one of our Founder Members means you get to enjoy our exclusive pre-opening offers, Rewarded for your commitment, you’ll save more by joining Coach at the very moment our pre-sale memberships are available! It’s worth noting that the sooner you join, the more you save. Founder member & pre-sale offers decrease in the amount you save the closer we get to the club opening day!

Can I look around the gym before it opens?

Definitely. As one of our founder members, you’ll be first on the guest list to look around our revolutionary new fitness space before we officially open the doors! Make sure you check your email for your invite.

Why do I need to pay if my gym hasn't opened yet?

When you become an exclusive founder member and you take advantage of one of our limited pre-sale memberships, we’ll take one payment by card when signing up. The following payment will then be taken one month after the club opens. Subsequent monthly membership payments will then follow every month in line with the term of your contract and up until you tell us otherwise.

Remember, when you join early and become one of our founder members, you guarantee that you’ll pay the same exclusive discounted monthly membership for the next 12 months… providing you don’t cancel your membership before then.

Managing your membership

Can I cancel my Coach membership at any time?

This depends on which membership option you initially joined on. In order to cancel your membership, you will need to do one of the below.

Commit – This is a 12-month agreement. Following 12 monthly payments, you will simply need to give us 30 days’ notice. You can do this by tapping the manage my membership tile in App and selecting to cancel your membership. You may want to freeze your membership in case you ever want to return, if you leave and re-join you would be subject to joining fees and current prices which may be higher than your current package. you can freeze your membership for FREE for up to 6 months in a 12-month period.

Freedom – This is our “no contract” membership. You can cancel at any time. We just need 30 days’ notice. You can do this by tapping the manage my membership tile in App and selecting to cancel your membership. You may want to freeze your membership in case you ever want to return, if you leave and re-join you would be subject to joining fees and current prices which may be higher than your current package. you can freeze your membership for FREE for up to 6 months in a 12-month period.

What is the best way to make a payment and/or to reinstate my membership?

It’s really simple. Open the Coach member app, and within the “members area” you’ll find the option “manage my membership”. It’s here where you’ll find all your membership details and the option to make a payment. It’s so quick & simple, you’ll be in the club training within a few minutes!

What does the option to freeze my membership mean?

At Coach we are dedicated to supporting you throughout your fitness journey which is why when sometimes plans just don’t work out, injuries occur etc… we let you freeze your membership for FREE rather than cancelling it.

We are proud of our flexibility and provide the option to freeze your membership for a minimum of 1 month, maximum of 6 months in any 12 month period and at no additional charge unlike other gym operators. It’s a simple process to freeze your membership. Simply open the Coach member app, click on the manage my membership tile and follow the instructions. We advise that you freeze your membership at least 14 days before your usual collection date. This should provide us with the required time to amend your membership and avoid the next payment being debited.

How do I unfreeze my membership?

You can unfreeze your membership at any time through the “manage my membership” tile within the Coach member app. Please allow 60 minutes before scanning your QR code to enter club, this allows sufficient time for your membership to reactivate.

Does it cost to freeze my membership?

No, not at all. This is a complimentary option and all part of the premium experience at Coach gyms. You have the option to freeze your membership for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 6 months in any 12-month period and at no additional charge unlike most other gym operators.

How can I cancel my membership?

Before you fully consider cancelling your Coach membership, you may want to think about the option to freeze your membership without incurring a penalty or any cost. You can freeze your membership for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 6 months in any 12-month period.

This is more cost-effective option to take some time out and save from having to pay a joining fee and the current membership rate available at the point of re-joining. You may lose your discounted monthly membership if you were lucky enough to join on one of our limited Founder memberships.

If cancelling is the only way forwards, you can do so through the Coach member app using the ‘manage my membership’ tile.

If you joined as a “Commit” member, you will have a minimum term associated to the membership. You are required to fulfil the agreed minimum term before you are able to request to cancel your membership. If you have been with Coach for over a year and fulfilled your obligation of 12 monthly payments, you will see that following selecting “cancel” within the Coach member app, 30 days’ notice will have started. A final monthly instalment will be taken if this falls in the 30 days’ notice period, following this your membership will be cancelled. Please do not cancel your direct debit with the bank, we will process this request on your behalf, if you do just cancel your direct debit this may result in charges being applied to your account.

If you joined as a “Freedom” member, please click on the ‘manage my membership’ tile in the Coach member app and follow the simple instructions. Following selecting “cancel” within the Coach member app, 30 days’ notice will have started.

A final monthly instalment will be taken if this falls in the 30 days’ notice period, following this your membership will be cancelled. Please Do not cancel your direct debit with the bank, we will process this request on your behalf, if you do just cancel your direct debit this may result in charges being applied to your account.

I've given my 30 days' notice & my last direct debit has been taken. How long can I use coach until?

You will have full access to Coach and all the premium facilities for 30 days after your final membership installment has been taken.

My first visit to Coach

Do you provide an induction to show me how to use the equipment?

Yes. Our Coach team will take you through a complimentary 30-minute induction. You’ll be shown how to use the equipment & answer any questions you might have on our facilities & the Coach experience. This is bookable through the Coach member app so you can choose a time that’s truly convenient to you.

For additional support in hitting your fitness goals or for a new, refreshed training programme just speak to one of our dedicated & highly experienced Personal Trainers, our ViPT’s. You can get in touch through the Coach member app, book a consultation with our Reception team or simply say hello next time you’re in the club.

How do I gain access to the club once I am a member of Coach?

Once you have downloaded the Coach member app you will see a tile called Access, click this and pass the QR code over the scanner on our entrance turnstiles. This will automatically grant you access to the club. It’s really simple, no numbers or membership cards to remember, all you need is your phone!

I've never been to a gym before, what do I need to bring with me?

All you need is some clothes you feel comfortable moving, a sweat towel (we want you to sweat!), appropriate footwear (no flipflops, work boots etc.) Trainers please and a padlock for the lockers. You can buy padlocks and towels from Coach Bar if needed. Don’t forget to bring a drink too, its important to stay properly hydrated when exercising. And don’t forget your smile…!

Being a member of Coach

Is Coach open 24 hours?

No. Coach Gyms have long opening hours to suit the majority of our members training times. We don’t believe in self-service or leaving things to chance, which is why we invest in a dedicated & experienced Coach Team who can be on hand to support you every step of the way, together anything is possible.

Opening hours are unique to each Coach gym. Simply select the relevant club to see the opening hours.

Do you have a Coach team in the club whenever it's open?

Yes. We pride ourselves on our people. Our dedicated Coach team will greet you every time you walk through the door. Coach bar & reception, ViPT’s and Head Coach’s’ we’re on hand when and if you need us.

Do you offer personal training at Coach?

Yes. We have highly experienced, industry leading self-employed personal trainers at all our Coach gyms.

All of our Personal Trainers are freelance and self-employed. To find out their hourly rate & any available offers you can get in touch through the Coach member app, book a consultation at Reception or even easier… just say hello when you’re next in the club.

Do you have lockers?

Yes. You’ll need a padlock to operate our lockers. If you don’t have one or you forget yours, don’t worry – you can always purchase one from our Coach Reception & Bar team for just £5.00.

Can I leave my gym kit in a locker overnight?

No. Our Coach Gym rules state that all lockers must be locked when they are in use and only whilst you are in the club training in the gym.

Our Coach team clear down our lockers at the end of every day, including those lockers which have been left locked. We remove and dispose of any left padlocks.

Can I park for free when I visit the club?

Absolutely! We provide all our Coach members with 2 hours free parking every time you visit the club.

Do you offer changing facilities and showers at Coach?

Absolutely! You’ll experience a luxury, high end changing facilities, showers, lockers and toilets. Our Coach Locker rooms are open throughout the clubs opening hours

Do Coach gyms include sauna, steam, spa or pool?

No we don’t. You’ll experience a high-end luxury, boutique gym complete with high-quality group fitness. A premium facility without the premium price tag, a unique & affordable space to train.

Do Coach gyms have sunbeds? If so, when are these available?

Sunbeds are available in select Coach gyms. Just ask a member of our Coach team, we’re always happy to help.

Do Coach gyms offer paper towel or wipe dispensers to wipe down equipment during or after training?

No, we don’t. At Coach, we are committed to reduce as much waste as is possible. It’s part of our Green policy and it’s something we consider important.

We ask, as part of our Coach club etiquette & rules that members bring a small towel to wipe down the equipment after use as a courtesy to the next member.

How do I access the club once I am a member of Coach?

What do I do if I scanned my QR code but the turnstile won't open?

In the unlikely event that this happens, our Coach reception team are located just next to the turnstiles. We’re close by to help so you can access the club without any delay to your workout.

Are the changing rooms and showers easy to find?

As within all areas of Coach gyms, we’ve clearly signposted our facilities.

Coach locker rooms have directional signage as soon as you walk through the door. You won’t get lost and if you do, there’s always someone from Coach nearby to point you in the right direction.

What if I need help while I'm at Coach?

Every Coach gym has a dedicated team of (VI)PTs and Coaches available at all times to guide & support you whilst you’re in the club. It’s our mission to make sure training at Coach becomes the best part of your day.

Do you have disabled access to Coach gyms?

Yes, we have full disabled access at all our clubs. Should you wish to talk through any specific requirements or queries please speak to our highly knowledgeable Head Coach who will be more than happy to help.

I have forgotten/left something behind at the gym. Do you have a lost property?

Yes, don’t worry. We keep any lost property safe for a maximum of 14 days, after which we will donate it to charity. Make sure you call the club to let us know or speak to a member of the Coach team next time you’re in.

How do I access coach gyms if I don't have a smart phone to download the Coach member app?

If you don’t have a smart phone we can offer the alternative option to purchase a wrist band. This will grant you access to the club and is available at a cost of £5.00 from reception.

Lost wristbands will also incur a £5.00 charge to replace.

Can I share or give my QR access code to a friend/colleague or family member to use?

Under no circumstances are you permitted to give or share your QR entry code with another person. This is unique to you and refreshes before every visit to ensure it is you who is using the facilities throughout your membership.

No two QR codes for the same membership can be used at the same time. This ensures Coach remains exclusive & available to members only. Any attempt to abuse our Coach rules will see offenders have their membership cancelled. Please note that all members entering and exiting Coach are monitored by CCTV 24/7 to further enhance member safety.

Do you have complimentary WIFI?

Yes. Coach bar is a place to relax, re-fuel & re-focus. It’s a space to socialise, to work or to just re-charge. A member of our Coach team will be able to grant you access. Stay a while.

What do I do if I have a problem with the WIFI?

If you experience any difficulty when accessing our WIFI, a member of our Coach team will be more than happy to help resolve this.

Is WIFI available throughout the club?

Most areas of Coach gyms should be Wi-Fi accessible. We can’t guarantee that it will be available within our locker rooms or the external reception area and you won’t be able to use the Wi-Fi outside of the gym.
